Finkenauer should rethink trade criticism

Does Abby Finkenauer realize that she is a Chinese pawn? Finkenauer has not held back in criticizing President Donald Trump's trade war. In doing so, whether she likes it or not, she is siding with China against America's interests.
For years China has stolen American intellectual property, according to a March report by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Bloomberg reported how China planted microchips used for spying into the motherboards used by almost 30 companies, including Apple and Amazon.
Additionally China is pursuing aggressive foreign policy in the South Pacific to challenge America's influence. A Chinese destroyer sailed within 45 yards of the USS Decatur on Oct. 1, according to Business Insider. In its annual report this year, the Pentagon wrote China has already drawn up plans to invade America's ally, the free and democratic Taiwan. These are among reasons why Trump has placed tariffs on Chinese goods.
Because China's economy and, therefore, the Chinese Communist Party is threatened by these tariffs, Beijing has targeted Iowa this election season, hoping to sway farmers.
Let's not betray America. Instead vote for pro-American candidates like Rod Blum.
