To the editor:
Although presidential candidate Jeb Bush did recently address climate change and acknowledge its impact, he focused more on the possible negative impact of government plans to combat carbon emissions and other methods to curb climate change.
This may lead many voters to believe that combating climate change will negatively affect our nation's jobs or economy. However, eco industries are growing to combat climate change, especially in areas like Iowa where wind energy is employing more and more people each year. Therefore, it is easy to see that efforts to curb carbon emissions and combat climate change will help provide more jobs, helping our state and country to prosper.
That is why it is important that all voters - Republican, Democrat or independent - keep climate change in mind and push candidates to come up with solutions to combat climate change.
