It is almost impossible to avoid the political scene in our country. But I found relief yesterday and it felt great.
This occurred as I was looking out of a window in our house at about 10 a.m. I noticed about 50 small birds come flying around the corner of our house and they all landed in some bushes several feet from the window. They all began to sing together. They sounded like every one of them was in tune and they had practiced together.
Suddenly a beautiful Blue Jay came flying by and landed in the same bushes followed by a bright red Cardinal. Quickly the singing stopped. I glanced to my left and saw 7 deer standing a few feet from the bushes. Nature reminded me that we have beauty and peace near us if we search for it.
Maybe relief is just around the corner.
