Fight to keep democracy safe from Project 2025

As a retired veteran recent events has me deep in thought about how fragile our democracy is and why we must fight to keep it.
The Preamble to the Constitution lays down the document’s main objectives, purpose and direction: "To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; to maintain law and order." We see these sacred values challenged today as politicians and a political movement have adapted and are working to implement Project 2025.
Project 2025 goes against the liberties of the individual. It is a road map created for Trump and his supporters to dismantle our democratic institutions, imposing a far-right authoritarian agenda for the rule of our country. In short, Project 2025 is a direct threat to the Constitution we pledge to defend.
Project 2025 is a plan to weaken the separation of church and state, to expand executive power of the president, and to fire thousands of federal workers and replace them with ideologically approved employees, loyal not to the Constitution but to the president. It would place the Department of Justice under direct presidential control and would abolish the Department of Education. It targets women and gender rights. Project 2025 is a blueprint for creating an autocratic form of government for a Trump presidency.
Can we in good conscience support or even condone those who defend the goals of Project 2025 over the Constitution of the United States of America?
