Fifth Season race great but recycling needed

How fun it is to anticipate the annual Fifth Season race. The many volunteers and organizational effort it takes to pull it off are appreciated by all of us who run.
It was great to have food and beverage at the end of the race for refreshment. If only we had some recycle containers for those hundreds of plastic bottles that were drained by thirsty participants. Wouldn't it be even better if we had lessened the load on the landfill?
