Fetal heartbeat law didn’t go far enough

Recently Iowa passed into law a fetal heartbeat bill. To no one's surprise, most media outlets and pro-choice politicians erupted, decrying how it violates women's rights. Every law violates someone's rights.
Why doesn't a speeder have a right to speed? Because the state determined others' right to safety overrides the speeder's right to speed. In the case of abortion, there are two humans' rights to be considered, the rights of the mother and rights of the unborn.
We strongly believe human life begins at the moment of fertilization. At that instant, an eternal soul is created by God along with the growing physical life.
So, even though we don't think this bill goes far enough, including exceptions that still violate the rights of the unborn, it moves protection in the right direction.
We are aware there is disagreement about the beginning of human life, but, consider this: Whenever someone is found unconscious, the very first thing checked is the pulse. In other words, if the heart beating. Who could disagree, if there is a pulse, the person is alive? In the case of the unborn, if there is a pulse, the person is alive and has the right to life.
We thank the Iowa Governor and legislators for having the moral courage to advance this protection of the unborn.
