Ferentz seems allergic to success

I have supported Kirk Ferentz since he started as head coach. He had proved himself as an o-line coach under Fry, and like Hayden Fry, he turned the Hawkeyes into winners again. But is it only me, or does anyone else believe he seems allergic to success? He runs a prostyle offense, which I have no problem with, but it becomes too predictable. We need a prostyle offense, with pizazz. We need a quarterback with pizazz, and one that has the support of his team. Right now, it is clear, that is C.J. Beathard.
Players want to play, but because Ferentz is so conservative, the games are too close, we lose games we should not, and players that should play, do not. I heard after the Sept. 20 game that Beathard is a good quarterback to come off the bench, but not good enough to start. It is clear the team plays better when Beathard is on the field. He is this team's leader, like it or not. In sports, it is human nature to rally around whom you support. This team has chosen.
We need a young head coach, maybe one that coached with the New England Patriots? I believe Brian Ferentz would be a great choice. He comes from good coaching blood, he has pro contacts and I am hoping enough youth to better understand the college player. Players want to play, they want to learn, they want to win, and have fun doing it. Let them play.
