Fan experience at Hawkeyes’ home opener was disappointing

I’m a 45-year season ticket holder. Saturday’s Hawkeye game was such a disappointment. (I’ll leave the execution on field to your sports section people).
For nearly half the game, the score board was nonexistent. No scores or stats, let alone video replays. During a timeout Laura Vandeberg dids an on field interview with former Hawk great and only lip readers had a clue about the conversation.
Loyal fans put up with the heat, crowds, traffic and cost. But you have eight months to do sound check, etc. and then leave us with this when you want to show off our new team. I officiate many small schools and their scoreboards are never this lacking. The topper is having Mediacom and U.S. Cellular as big sponsors.
It would be nice if the Athletic Department at least sent an apology to the season ticket base. Surely any visiting recruits thought the tech department on staff were from the Amish community.
