Faithful should support same-sex marriage
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Feb. 4, 2012 11:02 pm
As a full-out Christian and worshipper of God, I believe same-sex marriage should be legal everywhere and accepted by all churches. No, I didn't make up my own religion and play by my own rules.
I'm Lutheran and I go to church every Sunday. I'm a strong believer in my faith. Yet, I'm pretty sick and tired of watching people get so worked up over same-sex marriage. I see it everywhere. People protesting. Churches excluding the gays. What does it matter to you?
Ultimately, God is the judge and will decide what happens in the end. Who are you to judge those who are different?
How long is it going to take the world to realize this is just like segregation? Why are we dividing ourselves again? Do we not all have equal rights? When will we learn from our mistakes?
