Faith is the source of many good deeds

I want to thank Molly Rossiter for her article in reference to the Intelligent Faith conference ('Intelligent Faith,” Jan. 31). This conference is not only for people who are of the Christian faith, but also for those who question the intelligence of those whose worldview or belief system is that of following Christ.

Many people think that to ascribe to Christianity one must be close minded, intolerant and poorly informed. If that were the case we would not have the majority of missions we have now to serve the poor and to help the sick.

The Bible is one of the best documented books in all of history and not only that it is life changing. I have served this community as a physician for 40 years and the basis of my service has been my faith.
