Fagan is respected and gets good things done

I'm voting for Brian Fagan for Cedar Rapids mayor. Brian has worked with others to make important changes. He is respected and trustworthy and doesn't promise things that he can't deliver. He has good relationships with the existing city council members and doesn't tell them what to do. I trust Brian and share many of the same values.
Why not Ron Corbett?
What has he done to help Cedar Rapids recover from the flood? It's one thing to criticize others for delay and ineffectiveness. It's another thing to have not tried to do much of anything yourself and then say that you could do better.
What does Mr. Corbett value? While he was speaker of the house, Iowa ranked: 42nd in teachers' salaries, 44th among states in per capita spending on mental health and developmental disability services, 46th in funding for arts/culture, 49th among states in funding to conserve natural resources and 49th in average salaries for nurses.
If you value basic social services or the environment, Corbett is not your man.
Corbett has criticisms which are ill informed. For instance, he wanted to give local-option sales tax dollars right away to flood victims, without considering whether FEMA would then ask for the money back.
His ability to get things done at a city level has not been demonstrated. I don't think he can deliver and he doesn't make sense.
Brian Fagan has and will get as much good done by a mayor of Cedar Rapids as any person can.
