Fagan helps city hold onto culture, heritage

Our Czech Village home has been in the family for more than 100 years, built by a great-grandfather. Our historic home was nearly lost in the flood. It was “red-tagged” and the Federal Emergency Management Agency wanted it destroyed. But even though a wall had collapsed, we knew the house was strong and could be rebuilt.
Brian Fagan helped us fight for our home when no one else would. He helped us through the paperwork and steps to get our home reinspected, cleaned, and to begin rebuilding.
Brian has striven to hold onto Cedar Rapids' culture and heritage. He believes, as we do, that our historic neighborhoods represent the people who built this town, and the people who will rebuild it.
The people of Cedar Rapids have the strength and fortitude to repair our own backyards. New businesses will come when they see all we have done for ourselves in the face of disaster. Things worth having are worth taking the time to do right.
Thank you, Brian, for helping us when we asked, and for leading our city in the right direction. Your leadership will keep us moving forward with affordable housing, new jobs and safe, strong neighborhoods. You have our vote for mayor.
