Fagan has qualities to be face of Cedar Rapids

Who is the face of Cedar Rapids? Is it Tim Boyle? Scott Schulte? Maybe Beth Malicki? How about Kurt Warner? These people are talented personalities, and are the face of many things, but they are not the face of Cedar Rapids. The mayor is the face of the city.
Yes, the mayor is a voting member of the council, presides at council meetings and appoints committee members. However, the mayor is that very important first impression. Our elected mayor should be a pure reflection of Cedar Rapids.
As a resident, I think of this city and its citizens as progressive, proud, resourceful, generous, virtuous and fun.
Candidate Brian Fagan captures all of these aspects. As a former Visual Arts Commission member, I had the privilege to see Brian at work, firsthand. He is a genuine, honest, caring Cedar Rapids native who has shown good judgment and leadership.
A mayor who accurately projects our image will not only help with flood recovery efforts, but also will help with attracting future businesses and residents, as well as building community confidence as the city moves into the next decade.
When voting Nov. 3, think about who will be representing Cedar Rapids. Brian Fagan is the right face for Cedar Rapids.
