Extending PPEL will help Linn-Mar maintain world-class facilities

Resident voters from the Linn-Mar Community School District have the opportunity to extend the Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL) on March 5. Extending the levy ensures the district will continue to receive the funding that has been available over the past ten years.
As a resident and parent of two students in the district, I urge voters to vote yes. These funds are essential to the upkeep of our schools and are used for roof repairs, HVAC systems, replacement buses, as well as incidental repairs that may arise with minimal impact on our overall taxes. This is not a tax increase, rather an extension to what residents have been already paying for the past ten years.
We are fortunate to have extraordinary buildings and facilities at Linn-Mar. Maintaining these assets is the responsibility of each of us and is an investment in our community. Vote YES on March 5th.
