Experience matters, Mike Naig has it

If you want an Iowa Secretary of Agriculture with dirt under his fingernails, Mike Naig is that and so much more. But it is Mike's experience as the deputy secretary under Bill Northey for almost five years that will lead Iowa agriculture into the future.
The best candidate is someone that knows Iowa agriculture, has the experience, and can get the job done. I believe Naig has shown he has the experience and skills we need.
Since being appointed as ag secretary in March, Naig has already met with Iowans in all 99 counties. He has truly shown he cares and wants to improve the lives of those working in agriculture. He grew up on a family, century farm in Cylinder, and has been invested in agriculture his whole life.
All Iowans, rural or urban, can get behind better water quality. Naig has been in the trenches for five years fighting for more resources to improve soil and water health and will continue to advocate for Iowa agriculture every day. He is a great spokesman in Iowa, the nation and internationally and will continue to work hard for our state. Experience matters.
