Expect more from Iowa men’s basketball

I'm very disappointed in the lack of progress in the Iowa men's basketball program. We've had several great players recently, but we remain mired in mediocrity. This past season was very typical. The Hawks are a respectable team that usually finishes around .500 in Big 10 play and rarely wins an NCAA tournament game. This has become an unacceptable level of performance under Fran McCaffrey’s tenure as Iowa coach. We should expect more.
