Error in Rep. Rod Blum’s logic

To the editor:
Congressman Rod Blum's Sept. 7 guest column 'Let's get America working again” reads as if it were a collection of ‘happy talk' themes from the marketing department.
In one paragraph, Blum writes that our economic recover comes up short '12.1 million jobs and nearly $1,000 more in pay every month for the average family of four.” Two paragraphs later, Blum talks of welfare reform and the need 'to encourage more Americans to seek gainful employment.”
Do you feel, fellow Gazette readers, that there just might be an error in Congressman Blum's logic?
