Ernst should apologize to health care workers

Sen. Joni Ernst insulted and offended me when she accused my health care cohorts and me of committing a felony. Ernst is echoing a completely debunked conspiracy theory, rather than respecting the facts. Sen. Ernst is accusing health care providers of inflating the numbers of COVID-19 cases just to bill more for their care. It's not only inaccurate, in Iowa, but there have also been far fewer COVID-19 cases recorded than have actually occurred.
One month Joni is talking about health care workers as heroes, the next, she is accusing us of committing fraud. This is beyond ridiculous, but sadly her supporters will believe her.
Sen. Ernst needs to apologize to health care workers and admit she was wrong. Ernst should tour an ICU in Iowa, where we've been leading the nation in new infections. She should ask health care workers treating COVID patients what is on their minds - their hearts. I firmly believe PTSD of those heroes will be the next crisis. Joni should not belittle the work these health care heroes are doing. We deserve better from those elected to serve us. And if Joni won't do better, we will elect a better senator.
