Ernst has stained political career

To the editor:
Well, Joni Ernst, you've 'made ‘em squeal” all right, but I don't think this was quite the way you envisioned doing it. Your signing of Tom Cotton's letter to Iran has aroused a firestorm of protest, not only in this country but abroad as well. Even members of your own party are condemning it. So strong is the condemnation of your letter that any rationale you put forth for signing it falls flat.
Your ill-advised action has put a deep stain on your fledgling political career. Please act more responsibly in the future and do not automatically parrot every move your ultraconservative colleagues make.
