End bullying by treating others with respect

Bullying should never be a part of a person's childhood.

Before technology influenced everyone and was a need in society, bullying would have ended or at least decreased when the child left school. The child could get away to where they feel safe at home. Now, there are multiple platforms of social media and other apps or texting that adolescents can use to get in contact with each other and potentially bully one another. It happens everywhere and kids no longer feel safe in the comfort of their own homes. Cyberbullying has become a growing concern for parents and schools. It can happen anytime, anywhere.

Cellphones and modern technology aren't necessarily the problem, just how they are used is what makes bullying come to life. Unfortunately, most of where these children learn to treat others is from what they see their parents or other adults doing at home, online, socially and in the media. At such a young age, children are learning and absorbing everything around them. Sadly, not everything they take in is good for them.

Bullying has given people a quicker and easier way to get under people's skin from the comfort of their own home. Just because it's getting harder and practically impossible to stop bullying doesn't mean we shouldn't stop trying to influence children and teenagers to treat others with respect and do what is right.
