In regards to, “Those in power need to be held accountable,” by David Hogan (Nov. 29): I agree with Mr. Hogan, the super committee's job was to come up with spending cuts so that we would be able to get our deficit under control. All I see is government spending money we just don't have and now, because the super committee didn't do its job, the military is looking at cutting many jobs. What will this do to our unemployment line and to our society?
As I see it, what our government really needs to do is look at all the waste and fraud from all the programs. It is time for us to elect people who believe in balancing the budget and not using the system for their own personal gain.
