Elect Running-Marquardt to benefit Linn County

As an advocate for the west side of Cedar Rapids for many decades, I am endorsing Linn County Supervisor candidate Kirsten Running-Marquardt. I am a former Northwest Neighborhood Association president of many years and was a spokesperson for 2008 flood victims during and after the disaster. It is valued that our elected representatives are truthful, committed to the citizens' needs and put in the work for those they represent.
Kirsten has all of those traits. She has and does make it her responsibility to serve honestly in the office. You will not find her seeking the limelight for her tireless accomplishments. She feels actions speak louder than words.
Kirsten listens to her citizens and sets out to get things done. The flood of 2008, while working for a member of Congress, she worked to keep the focus on this area of disaster and seek assistance and funds on the federal, state and local levels.
After the 2020 derecho hit our area of Eastern Iowa, true to form, Kirsten was helping neighbors clean up but also working behind the scenes helping get us assistance from yet another epic natural disaster. We need her proven ability and experience working well with others getting needs accomplished for the future of our community first with hard work and fresh ideas. This Linn County district can benefit from what Kirsten can provide as supervisor.
