Elect Ian Cullis to Linn Board of Supervisors

Elect an experienced leader as Linn County supervisor. Elect Ian Cullis. He will listen, observe, evaluate and act in the best interest of all to provide quality services, facilities and infrastructure in a fiscally responsible manner. His world experience provides him a broad spectrum for working together with people of all cultures. As a young man, he immigrated to the United States from South Africa, was recruited to play professional football, went to college, married, raised a family and worked as human resources director with Cedar Rapids companies for 30 years. He was responsible for hiring, training and leading 16,000 employees.
His community service includes being a 25-year member of Downtown Rotary, serving two terms as mayor of Robins, and serving on the Linn County Emergency Management Commission and Linn County Metropolitan Planning Organization.
He is a founder of the Cedar Rapids Rugby Club and is inducted into their Hall of Fame. He holds a bachelor's degree from William Penn College with majors in human relations and psychology and earned a master's degree from the University of Iowa with a specialty in drug counseling. He also is a licensed teacher and guidance counselor in Iowa.
