Elect conservatives to stop Obama
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Dec. 28, 2013 12:04 pm
Why did 61 percent of 650 Iowans participating in a recent poll sponsored by The Des Moines Register disapprove of the job that President Barack Obama is doing as president?
Could it have been because of the way that he has attempted to mislead the United States about Obamacare and Benghazi, or when he found out that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Internal Revenue Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation and National Security Agency were engaging in scandalous behavior? And what is he doing to correct it? Or how he uses executive orders and the regulations issued by government departments to make the changes that he can't get Congress to do? Or could it have been because Obama has lost the trust of so many of our long-term allies and has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan?
Obama has three more years to serve as president. If we elect Rep. Bruce Braley to replace Sen. Tom Harkin and allow the Democrats to control the Senate for three more years, Obama may succeed in his apparent objective to convert the USA into a socialist nation.
We must elect enough conservatives in 2014 to control the Senate and keep President Obama from destroying our economy, freedom and security.
