Elect candidates wh represent you

In a few weeks voters will elect individuals to represent them. Some people were surprised when I told them that I am a Democrat. I cross party lines when voting for individuals. The two Republicans that I am going to vote for are State Rep. Bobby Kaufmann and Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey.
The reason that I am not a Republican is that some members of the party who hold a political office are too extreme. I don't agree with the liberal Democrats on many issues either, but I consider the liberal Democrats the lesser of the evils than the right wing conservative Republicans. The most honest politicians are the conservative Democrats, who unfortunately are a minority in their party, and the more moderate Republicans.
If the voters in Iowa's 4th Congressional District would guarantee that they will elect Jim Mowrer as their representative and oust Steve King, then I would vote for Mariannette Miller-Meeks. She would do a better job in representing both the State of Iowa and the Republican Party than Steve King would.
Last, but not least, I wish the best for Sen. Tom Harkin and Rep. Tom Latham who are retiring at the end of this year.
