Eastern Iowa Airport fares not reasonable

Recently, I heard on the KCRG-TV9 news that The Eastern Iowa Airport has cheaper fares than other airports, but that has not been my experience.
Last winter, I flew to the Cayman Islands to visit my daughter who lives there. My round trip ticket from Cedar Rapids to Chicago and back was $462. That includes a $25 luggage charge. A 50 minute flight. It's a little over three hours to Cayman and the round trip ticket was $438.65. No luggage charge and they fed me both ways.
I don't feel Cedar Rapids is such a bargain.
