Eagle lovers, you’re welcome to take ours

I read your March 11 article about the Decorah eagles. I didn't notice any mention of the food they eat. They are scavengers, you know. Scavengers eat cats, dogs, song birds and even attack people according to our local Department of Natural Resources representative. It is not uncommon to find pet collars in eagle nests; they do eat them alive.
We had a beautiful longhair white cat for 10 years. Now she is gone.
Eagles are so plentiful. No need to go to Decorah. There are three nesting on our farm near Tipton and they swoop down and attack our neighbor and her dogs.
Every day our pets are in danger. We would like to shoot them to protect our pets but it is against the law. How can we get rid of them in our area?
Eagle lovers, come and get them. You may be obsessed with them but we are oppressed by them. Please send some of those 45,000 Facebook friends and get them to roost in trees by the Barthell Eastern Star Nursing Home; then the residents can look out the window and see them.
