Dr. Ghosh has given much to the community

I was deeply saddened and shocked to see the front page article in the May 4 Gazette announcing the firing of Dr. Chirantan Ghosh by the Physicians' Clinic of Iowa group.
As a grateful patient of his for the last eight years, I know so well his caring and thorough approach to the well-being of those fortunate enough to be his patients. His commitment to doing what he feels is right for them has changed the course of his practice during his years in Cedar Rapids, always thinking of their best interests. He places his patients above all else!
In addition to Dr. Ghosh's medical expertise, he has given back to the community in so many ways. I am again fortunate to have been involved in a volunteer program that has been a recipient of his benevolence.
For whatever reason this incident took place, I feel sincerely the loss is that of PCI! It is my hope Dr. Ghosh will remaining practicing in Cedar Rapids or very nearby. I know I would follow him anywhere within my ability!
