Dove-hunting story really about slaughter

Not to be contentious or insulting, I fail to see how the words “fun, enjoy” and “sport” can be applied to the gratuitous slaughter of doves (Gazette front page, Sept. 3). I prefer not to be confronted by the mental and emotional processes of joyful hunters splayed across the front page of what is supposed to be a newspaper.
