Dorman should be shown the door

After reading Mr. Todd Dorman's column on Nov. 5 I felt the need to respond. What happened within just a few days to turn Iowa into a state where we are going to deny health care, where young college professionals will not thrive, where we no longer care about diversity, where we are no longer progressive, where we are no longer nice?
We are the same bunch of folks who helped our neighbors after the derecho hit. We are the same people who donate to food banks, support coats for kids, donate to charities, volunteer in our schools and community, walk to end Alzheimer's, and pick up liter off the ground. We are the same bunch that will open a door for an elderly person and say good morning or afternoon when encountering someone while walking down the street.
Mr. Todd Dorman thinks there will be a brain drain evidently leaving only the brainless here in Iowa because we will be less bright for having voted red. If Mr. Todd Dorman thinks and feels that way about the nice people of Iowa, I suggest someone show him the door leading out of the state.
