Don’t wait for passage; put down cell phone

The Iowa House passed an anti-texting bill. If passed by the Senate, one year would be spent buying advertisements to tell people they shouldn't text while driving. Should you kill someone, after the bill is implemented, punishment is a few hundred dollars and they revoke your license for six months.
Opponents say passing the bill takes away their rights. Non-texters should stand up for their the right to drive without playing bumper cars with drivers who text and use cell phones. Research is clear. Texting and cell phones are highly distracting and result in many accidents and deaths. Stop their use immediately.
