Don't give up -- recovery is working

Election Day is upon us. We are facing hard challenges. This recession happened over eight years. It will take more than the last two years of work to recover.
Sure, you are hurting. You think nothing is being done. Well, step back and take a deep breath. Now look at what has been done.
We have stopped the recession from growing into a Depression. Our auto industry was saved, and they have paid back a large portion of their loans and are paying the rest back.
The stimulus programs have worked, with most of the stimulated corporations paying back their loans. Regulations have been put back in place to hopefully keep the abuses that triggered the recession from happening again. Overall, the economy is improving. It takes more than two years to erase eight years of decline.
The recovery is being done without the help of the party of No Help - the TP/GOP. They spat in your face and cozied up to big business. Bow they want you vote as if you were lemmings.
Grassley was out front in the TP/GOP. He preached bipartisan, received the compromises he wanted and said no.
Branstad gutted Iowa as governor. Everyone's budget was cut. Taxes were raised and not repealed as he promised.
We need Chet Culver and Roxanne Conlin. Please vote for them.
