Don’t disrupt others during protest

To the editor:
I am all for someone standing up for what they believe in and protesting what they see as wrong. I applaud that. But what I do not advocate for nor will I ever support are those that believe they can infringe on the rights of others in order to do it. You don't have to block traffic, you don't have to go into stores, you don't have to bother others just to make your own point.
Your voices can be heard without that and when you do this, when you block traffic, all that does is cause most to roll their eyes at you. They will not hear you, they will not listen to what you have to say. What they will do, all they will see is that you felt your needs, your voices and your thoughts were more important than anything else. Not everyone has to believe what you do, and people shouldn't have to sit in their cars, not able to go anywhere just because you want to protest.
Do it on the sidewalk next time, Coe students, and I don't care if the cops helped you, it still blocked traffic. It still caused inconvenience, even potentially. And for the record, all lives matter.
