Don’t blame Obama, blame Republicans
The Gazette Opinion Staff

Do people really think taking petty pot shots at President Obama accomplishes anything? That was my reaction to Jay Kacena's Jan. 26 letter “Obama's public speaking may have cost him.”
I don't keep count of how many times the president gives a speech. Why would anyone care? I'm proud he doesn't mangle the English language every time he opens his mouth, like the previous occupant.
I don't care how many times he flies on Air Force One. I'm not going to second-guess what he needs to do to get the job done. It's not like he's flying off to a Texas ranch every few months to take a monthlong vacation.
President Obama is doing the best he can considering he faces Republicans who have vowed to do whatever they could to make him fail, no matter what the cost to the country. Let's blame them, not Obama.
