Having Molly Donahue represent Cedar Rapids, Marion, Bertram and Ely in the Iowa House of Representatives is an opportunity I urge voters to consider. Character, integrity and responsibility are always important to such a task. Today these attributes seem more essential than ever. Molly clearly offers these qualities along with her extraordinary life skills and experience.
I have known and observed Molly since she was a toddler living with her parents and two sisters across 37th Street NE in Cedar Rapids. I have watched Molly from the time she was important in our kids' lives up through her many years of being crucial in lives of thousands of kids as a lifelong Cedar Rapids educator.
So, I know Molly is what Iowa now needs to return us to the beacon of education we once were. I also know Molly will be diligent in restoring the voice of children and educators stifled by countervailing special interests of recent years. Beyond this, Molly Donahue can be counted on as a woman of her word and as a legislator that will be responsible to those she serves.
