Doing the same things won’t end differently

Many people are asking these days: “What can we do to fix this country?” Like most of us, I don't know. However, I am reasonably certain that the following actions will not help:
l Continuing to buy gas-guzzling monster pickups and SUVs.
l Seriously considering only those solutions to problems that are politically correct and fully sanctioned by conventional wisdom.
l Electing to high office current media celebrities and politicians who glory in their ignorance.
l Choosing to cut government services to the needy instead of considering reasonable attempts to boost revenues.
l Cutting funding for education when a good education for our young people is probably our best hope for the future.
l Continuing to give giant corporations everything they want until no one has anything left to give.
l Ignoring the benefits of health care plans used in other countries that significantly lower cost and have better outcomes.
As many people have said in the past, “If we continue to do the same things, we cannot expect different outcomes.”
