DOGE in checking in on how our money’s being spent

The Gazette offers audio versions of articles using Instaread. Some words may be mispronounced.
To make this simple: I would not let someone take my bank account and spend my money however they would want — not without accountability for what and where it is being spent on and used for.
But our government money is being spent, I feel, without accountability. Like the old saying, “Is the fox watching the hen house?”
What is going on with DOGE? They are checking on where my hard-earned tax money — not free money from a mysterious place — is being spent, and asking for accountability. Who doesn’t think that is OK?
If you think it isn’t OK, can I have your checkbook? I have plenty of places to spend it if you aren’t watching.
