DOGE decisions affect everyone

I have been represented in Congress by both parties. While I disagree with my GOP representatives on many issues, we can find common ground to solve the problems only the government can solve. Jim Leach impressed me with his selfless advocacy for good government and his tireless work to help his constituents.
But our representation in DC (Miller-Meeks, Nunn, Hinson, Feenstra, Ernst and Grassley) are fully committed to the current president’s agenda. Nearly every day, Rep. Miller-Meeks fawns on the president and advocates for his policies on Facebook. No one in our delegation has uttered even the meekest criticism of the president’s actions.
I understand party loyalty, but an unelected billionaire now assaults the government’s effective operation. DOGE is indiscriminately firing career government employees who did their work without regard to politics. DOGE seeks to eliminate whole agencies whose smooth operation is essential to safeguard Americans and maintain our prosperity.
Farmers are being denied promised payments. They have gutted VA’s service to veterans. They want to close local Social Security offices.
They’ve trashed the National Institutes of Health and Center for Disease Control, gutting vital medical research, and leaving us vulnerable to future epidemics.
By remaining silent while the President and his unelected “efficiency” expert seek to ruin the institutions that ordinary Americans depend on, our representatives in Washington are abdicating their responsibilities.
This is not about ideology, it is about decisions that affect us all.
If our congressional delegation refuses to honor their oaths of office, what are they for?
