Dobyns is veteran community leader

On election day, we will be enthusiastically casting our votes for Dr. Rick Dobyns to represent our district on the City Council of Iowa City. Having known Rick for a number of years and having had the privilege of working with him in several civic endeavors, we know that he is a highly qualified and effective community leader.
Rick has a demonstrated ability to carefully analyze issues and problems and then develop innovative responses which lead to the strength and betterment of our community. He works in a collaborative manner with others and is able to truly listen to the concerns of citizens and council members alike. A compassionate and skilled physician, Rick will bring his evaluative and diagnostic skills to bear on the economic and development challenges which face Iowa City.
