Do your patriotic duty and make America proud - get vaccinated

During World War II people made sacrifices; they sent their children to war and went on rations. Cars, tires, gasoline, fuel oil, coal, firewood, silk, shoes, meat, dairy, coffee, dried fruits, jams and lard were all among the many items Americans were asked to ration to support our troops and our country. It was considered a common good for the war effort and it affected every American household and they did it gladly. Everyone considered it their patriotic duty because we were all in it together. They loved their country and made sacrifices for it.
We are experiencing one of the greatest challenges of our lifetimes right now. Our country is asking us to sacrifice; get vaccinated and wear a mask to defeat this virus that is threatening us. Old people, people with COPD, asthma, cancer, diabetes, and any heart or lung problems are especially at risk of a serious permanent disability or dying, even if vaccinated, we must all do our part. Just part of us cannot defeat this virus. It takes all of us to get vaccinated and wear a mask to help our country.
When you see someone wearing a mask, that person is demonstrating that they love their country and their fellow countrymen. When this crisis is over they are the ones that will be remembered as patriots; saving their countrymen and their country. Be a proud American now; when it needs your help. Be a hero.
