DNR, spend our money in Eastern Iowa

As to the way the Iowa Department of Natural Resources spends our money, where is our share here locally?
I'm sure Waterloo, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City taxpayers pump lots of money into the DNR annually. However, when the DNR spends that money, it always seems a far distance away from our towns.
The DNR did build a fish-cleaning station at Palo's Pleasant Creek Park. Something went wrong, so DNR shut it down. It seems the DNR can spend several million dollars in southern Iowa but can't afford a place to clean fish at Pleasant Creek. Use some DNR cash here in Eastern Iowa, too.
