Division continues to harm our nation

In response to David Borger Germann's guest column ('I am privileged, but much is wrong,” May 14), I think anything said about the Obama administration must be prefaced with the attitude of the Congress he inherited.
Barack Obama was met with immediate opposition led by the 'Godfather of division,” namely U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who vowed from the start to get Obama out of office. McConnell rallied his party to be uncompromising.
Any member of Congress that takes office to serve the people with such an attitude is unproductive and doomed to a legacy 'divisionism.”
