Dems’ actions not in Iowans’ best interests
The Gazette Opinion Staff

While Gov. Culver continues to mismanage Iowa's budget, he remains silent about Iowans helping pay Medicaid costs for Nebraska forever. Like a lamb, the governor when asked to have our attorney general join other states to contest the payoff given Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, he responded with a letter indicating support for health care reform, but ignored the question as to why he was not fighting this federal legislative extortion.
I also requested Attorney General Tom Miller join the fight and to date have received no response. Sen. Tom Harkin also remains silent as the people he allegedly represents will be forced to give Louisiana and Nebraska Iowa tax money because of the vote-buying in Congress.
It would seem all three officials, like a trio of lambs, are going to follow Democratic talking points without regard to the people of Iowa.
