Democrats fail to explain positive parts of health law
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Mar. 28, 2014 12:20 pm
As we approach the congressional elections with the Affordable Care Act a centerpiece of the debates, I am struck by the inability of Democrats to convey the positive aspects of the law.
Obamacare should be something Democrats campaign on, as many parts of the law are supported widely.
Yet Obamacare is receiving only a 39 percent approval rating.
Perhaps the challenges facing Democrats in the election lies in their ability to sell the law to America, to explain the specific parts and why they are important.
