Democrats are the ones playing the race card
The Gazette Opinion Staff
Oct. 1, 2009 12:18 am
The monsignor of malaise, Jimmy Carter, has decreed that opposition to President Obama's agenda is racism. This misery monger is not alone. The Democrat Party is throwing a hissy fit because the majority of the American electorate are not bowing down to their anointed one.
We were told that Barack Obama would be the “post-racial” president. How could there be racism after the election of a black president? Here's how. The Democrats need racism. They use it to bludgeon us when their utopian plans fall apart. They slap down the race card whenever they feel their power slipping away.
Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama and all the other ultra-leftists don't seem to care if they break the bank as long as they can run the show. Policies like nationalized health care and the (pie in the sky) cap-and-trade idiocy are monstrously expensive and unworkable. Show me any plan that has come from Washington (Republican or Democrat) that didn't “add a dime” to the national debt. Drowning voters don't care about trumped-up racism.
