DEI perpetuates racism

The spring publication OurCR arrived last month. It’s an excellent source providing general and activity information for us to enjoy in our community.
I began noticing with last year’s copy, that our government leaders are focusing on progressive ideology. The climate agenda was focused in last year’s copy. This copy has now identified DEI as a focus.
The publication reads “We employ a human-centered, equity-focused approach to grow as an inclusive city gov’t that celebrates diverse voices, ensuring no one group is favored over another.”
This sounds warm and fuzzy, but who benefits from this nonsense? Don’t managers hire the best person based on competence, background, and skills they’ve learned? Or do we hire people that meet a criteria for DEI? One can't push diversity into a norm, it has to come naturally.
Why do progressives only see change from an emotional perspective? Changes in policy to create inclusiveness so everyone lands in the same place is unachievable.
DIE is perpetual racism. I would advise the public to research DEI more thoroughly. For example, a rhetoric professor Erec Smith outlays that racism is the main driver, and it breeds bad consequences between races.
Federal, states, and local governments shouldn’t be in the propagandized business. The citizens should be the ones to promote ideology that strengthens wholesome communities of all races not government.
Looks like the city council needs a DEI change, I see a lot of white faces there.
