Decline in hunting good for defenseless animals
N/A
Dec. 15, 2010 3:55 pm
“Number of Iowa hunters drops by 29 percent” was a headline (Dec. 10) I was happy to read, especially when it's a nationwide trend.
Young people today have many more “fun” and social activities that don't include the cruel sport of killing a defenseless animal. It shouldn't come as a surprise that they don't want to see an animal in pain and terror after they've been shot.
I sincerely pray this trend continues.
