Debt is a domestic enemy of the U.S.

I am a retired naval officer who served my country in uniform for 35 years. As part of the oath I took to become a commissioned officer in the U.S. armed forces, I swore “to support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.”
I really feel I was part of the defense against the foreign enemies part of the oath, but am having problems with the domestic part.
“Increasing America's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership.” That quote is from Sen. Barack Obama in 2006.
Now, as president, Obama and his liberal friends use numbers that only astronomers can comprehend when dealing with his budgets. He fails to mention the debt he is amassing.
Now, can you see my problem?
