Daughter should suffer speeding consequences

I'm curious about the dad from Britt who feels Cedar Rapids merchants must suffer the consequences of his daughter's speeding ticket (“I-380 speeding tickets hurting C.R. merchants,” Jan. 5). Was she not speeding? If she was, make her be accountable, suffer her consequences and hopefully learn a lesson from it.
Doesn't being a parent mean “parenting” our kids? Just curious.
