Dangerous policies, not dangerous biases
The Gazette Opinion Staff

I find it unconscionable that The Gazette placed the article, “Does racial bias fuel Obama foes? How to tell?” on the front page of Sept. 10. This is not a time-sensitive article, not news as much as it is an opinion piece.
Most of the conservatives I know are opposed to President Obama because of the policies of his administration. These policies, in my view, are damaging to our country because they are weakening our economic stability with massive debt, with too large and intrusive government, and by end-running and thwarting the Constitution of the United States of America. These policies have lengthened the recovery, done little to increase jobs and frustrated efforts to become less dependent on foreign oil. The fact that President Obama was elected seems to indicate the people have managed their unconscious biases.
I'm disappointed that The Gazette, in the placement of this article, the inflammatory headline, and the picture, may well contribute to fueling accusations of racial bias.
